Chainmail is a simple communication app based on message forwarding, similar to old chain emails. You connect with a few active users, and you immediately have a feed of messages from them. You can forward those messages to all your connections or compose new ones yourself.
Unlike chain emails, these messages are short, usually just a URL. This works great for news and other media, especially because you only receive something if a direct connection considered it worthy of forwarding.
It's minimalistic and requires little effort to use. There are no likes, replies, or comments, just content.
